Walvekar 1 of 4 US Faculty at ENT Summit 2017

Dr. Rohan Walvekar, Associate Professor and Mervin L. Trail Endowed Chair in Head and Neck Surgery at LSU Health New Orleans, was one of four US head and neck surgeons invited to serve as faculty at ENT Summit 2017 & 3rd Navigated Sinus and Skull Base Surgery Meeting in South East Asia.

The three-day summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia featured discussions, debates, exchanging ideas and live surgeries.

Walvekar, who also directs LSU Health New Orleans' Salivary Endoscopy Program, did a live surgical demo of salivary endocscopy before more than 100 delegates. Afterwards, he led a talk and discussion.

Walverkar, along with a surgeon from Hong Kong, conducted a workshop during which they trained 13 surgeons from Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
